There's a new series premiering today on Nickelodeon. It's called "Bunsen is a Beast" created by the renowned Butch Hartman. Here's a look at what we can expect... 

This student project is based upon a true story showcasing the little known aviation group of the Soviet Union known as "Nachthexen" or Night Witches during World War 2. Directed by Julie Herdicheck Baltzer and backed by a talented team at The Animation Workshop in Denmark.

Nominated in two categories for this year's Academy Awards "Kubo and the Two Strings" is a masterpiece of stop motion animation. The creation of Laika Studios in Portland Oregon this promotional video produced for Academy member consideration gives us a glimpse into some of the amazing artistry that went into the film. Take a trip through the wild animated imaginings of a couple kissing each other on this Valentine's Day 2017. The video is from Heckler in Sydney NSW Australia which is a full service commercial studio.

Here comes the future! As the growth of streaming media progresses we can expect to see more original animated content produced for venues such as Netflix. Content that would normally air on broadcast TV is now finding an alternative market sponsored by companies that in years past have created for TV and are now shifting towards streaming services.

The upcoming stop-motion series "Buddy Thunderstruck" is a prime example. Sponsored by American Greetings (Care Bears in the 1980's) and animated by  Stoopid Buddy Stoodio in Burbank all episodes will be released on March 10 2017.

Very talented animators come from this program who are well versed in the fundamentals of the art.
