Animation Nation

A delightful and highly imaginative film with excellent production values from Charline Parisot who created "Abordage" as her 4th year project at Supinfocom Rubika Valenciennes in France. 

A great video from Portland Oregon based Carlos Stevens. "Rock Dog Opening" has terrific traditional character animation backing up a contemporary look to classic cartoon design along with an intriguing and powerful storyline. Superb work from an amazing artist and everyone involved.

A sea faring old timer dealing with his inner demons is the subject of this excellent teaser from Brazen Animation in Dallas Texas. Brazen is a commercial studio that's developing original animated concepts for production. "Tempest" is a fabulous example of their world class talent.

An ode to the great art form of animating by hand. The voice of Brad Bird is featured in "Hand Drawn" by Anthony Giacchino as the famed director expresses his views on the wonder and beauty of it all against the backdrop of production footage from "The Iron Giant". 

Just out from New York City based Dress Code. A true story of a young man who was addicted to Coca Cola and his struggle to overcome the physical and mental debilitation of withdrawal. Just out from Blender Animation Studio. This is an absolutely terrific teaser for an anticipated feature length film. It's based on the classic comic series Agent 327 from Dutch artist Martin Lodewijk. Funding is being sought to produce the project into a full blown movie. 

A great animated short in the traditional style from Sheridan College in Ontario Canada. "Maggie" is a 2017 thesis film from graduate Melissa Cho. 

Nicely animated action and emotional acting on characters without facial features makes just released "Gauntlet" a truly impressive work. The film is a senior thesis project by Brandone Tabone for the School of the Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC. 

A minimalist style enhanced with quirky wine bottle sound effects along with a multipanel narrative makes "Merlot" a fun and charming visual experience. Showcased by the recently completed Future Film Festival that takes place annually in Bologna Italy. Created by Marta Gennari and Giulia Martinelli.
