: : and from there it goes to who is benefiting from this?...surely not all the animators in Toronto who lost their jobs when management decided to send layout and posing to China as well, leaving only storyboard and design remaining and a ton of people out of work.

: : yes PBS is our saviour?

: Not in this case. We save ourselves. Shipping animation to China from Canada is yet another reason why this should be addressed. In effect, American tax dollars allocated for the production of animation for public broadcasting is not going to Canada, but to China instead. American animation studios should be sought out by PBS if American tax dollars are being spent. Period.

This issue is a Red Herring. The real issues have to do with getting animation going in this country . Just nod your head and thank the Canadian government for giving PBS ten million for nothing. You would think that the Canadians would be up in arms paying for American programming when they are getting nothing for it. What idiots. And we thought WE were corrupt. Hey, here is an idea. List the Canadian artists working on the series then the Chinese. Then sit back and laugh. As an American tax payer I'm saving a bundle.
