: : Interesting but it seems it's pretty limited web cartoons. Not even a mention of money. Was that something you were interested in Jon ?

: I'm interested in feeding my kids.

Could you feed your kids on that job ? What are they making money wise ?

: I'd LIKE to make cartoons. But I can't seem to get inspired about becoming an animation broker. I know you can make a lot of money making deals with studios from other countries, and that seems to be a necessary ingredient in every almost every meeting I have, but I still have this crazy desire to actually do the work.

Of course. Myself I haven't seen anything on the web that made me think it was workable quality wise or profitable.

: I had been thinking, OK, maybe web cartoons. All they gotta do is make a better animation software. But even if they do that, the work ain't stayin' here. It's hard to fathom ... that our government just couldn't give a rip.

Automobiles, electronics, clothes etc etc.

: We have the best agricultural resources on earth, but we import 60% of our beef from South America where they have to level rain forests to create the necessary pastures ... while American ranchers go broke.

: Dreams are coming true in Novia Scotia, but we're having nightmares here. The article itself is a small thing, but it confirms the direction we're headed.

James Wong boasted ten years ago that CuckcoosNest had produced 250 hours of animation for US TV in on season. I don't know what this web cartoon deal is but it hardly looks like a "dream come true" to me. Have you pursued web work ?
