See, this is my whole point though. How can you learn the fundamentals when the fundamentals are all being done overseas?
We need a revival of TV production here in this country. Where young up-n-comers can up-n-come. This whole idea about getting a $100,000/yr job straight out of Cal Arts is history. You need to be able to start at the bottom and learn your way up. THEN when you reach the top, you will be head and shoulders above the pretentious buffoons who are trying to tell us how HARD animation is and WHY animation needs to under their guardianship. In other words, why they need to keep people out of the "Good Old Boys' Club."
IT CAN HAPPEN.
And with current "animation" softwares for the internet, etc. you're not going to learn anything, except that you SHOULD have been learning the real fundamentals of animation production ... while the software geniuses were busy ascertaining the difference between their asses and holes in the ground.
