: A lot of the crew reacted badly at my plan to come clean and I was basically told to "shut up, because at least people were working". I quit.
: I was stuck between righting a wrong and having my fellow workers totally unemployed or leaving and not looking back. Normally I would have chosen the first as I come from a family of "fighters of futile battles" but I didn't think I could live with putting that many people out of work.
You bring up a good point. How do those of us who are willing to fight for responsible actions by our employers explain our feelings to our more cautious co-workers? I've only been working for 5 years but from the start I've been appalled at the attitudes of the studios towards the animators. Other people that I have worked with always wish I would not say anything and just endure the humiliation doled out by the execs. I can't stand it. How do we break this culture of complacence?
