: Wow. Very well said Kevin (is this the tall O Kevin with glasses at DW ?). I agree. Nobody wants jobs from another country. They want jobs . PBS owes the US taxpayer more than just a statement of denial and confusion. They owe every U.S. animator/artist the right to bid on ANY job going . No excuses. No secret deals. Nelvana owes every Canadian taxpayer a look at the books and they better talk fast on why the hell they are shipping jobs they get Canadian tax rebates on to China. No excuses. No secret deals. Like the PBS money it should go to help the people who pay the taxes.

i remember I long time back when their was talk again of a union in Toronto, this had to be about 10 years back and the Nelvana stooges, you know the 3 of them, threatened to everyone that they would send all the work overseas and become totally a live action shop...

well the union never came and Nelvana is sending practically everything overseas anyway. Has anyone challenged Nelvana with regards to the subsidies they are getting and I mean bringing this to the forefront through the media, Canadian tax payers dollars sending work to China. With the Cinar scandal currently all over the wires, I suspect Nelvana might be pretty nervous right now that their books might be a little less than pretty....and they are a public company

Just a thought...
