Ahh my friends, welcome to the world of corporate disinformation, where numbers and facts are juggled to suit long term agendas and the only casualty is truth. Why should PBS or Nelvana be up front about any figures unless under a court order?
: : Actually it isn't. Even Steve says there are two versions . The Nelvana press release and PBS. Actually he quotes three figures. Now I'm even more confused because it conflicts with all the other figures I've heard. Is it:
: : A)ten mill
: : B)nine mill
: : C)fourteen mill
: : D)forty mill
: : Who know ? Who is right ?
: How many series are we talking about? Figure "Arthur" (typical PBS) quality to be going for about $3.7 million per 13 episodes.
: So two series would be around $7 million, three would be $11 million, four would be $15 million ... $40 million should fund 10 PBS series. Is PBS airing ten series?
