: My post was not defeatist - it was realistic. I loved reading your post because its great to see that there are still people out there who love what they do. However, its one thing to be excited and passionate about what you are working on, but quite another to finally stop deluding yourself and realizing what is going on around you.

: Obviously something else will take the place of hand-drawn feature "quality" animation...simple economics and our lust for change prove that.

: I just was thinking out loud that it seems kind of sad...

So you don't love what you do? My point exactly... sssssooooo you're in your twenties and you're a burn out, way to represent our generation, OOOOOOHHHHHHH theres hard times and Im surrounded by deluded(your favorite word) people, what shall I do... why don't you just go home and play 6 hours of Sega Genesis on your big screen or somethin'...We here at AnimationNation know whats goin on and your kind is part of the problem.
Excitement and passion are the things that keeps us goin thru hard times, and no matter what medium you use the fundementals are always there if it is of quality, and if the new generation or animators such as yourself get burned out and tanted before their time everything in the future will be crap, cuz there was no one there to help the next generation.
So take your thumb out yo butt, wash it off and wave it the air, cuz everything will turn around if you just turn around your attitude. Sure theres alot of hard work to make things change but i think we create whats around us by what we create in our head, and brotha' you must be livin in a world of chit....You've already worked on a feature and your not thirty yet...you've had it real tough...
