: Secret of Nimh had a LOUSEY story. The book was pretty interesting, and certainly better than the book. But the lack of a coherant screen story for the film really hurt it. I myself was bowled over by the "sparkle" of the film, but the distracting details and effects and interesting animation was JUST that: A Distraction. Looking back on it now, I'd say the story for Secret of Nimh was about as coherant as the story for Rock-a-Doodle. Most animators I know agree.
