: I don't think that your position is fair in the regards of people afriad to loose employment. Too many have already. Witness the recent 101 Dalmations layoffs. Fear of firing by the soul-less, IQ-less execs that so many here write about is more real now than ever before. Please re-consider your stance in this reguard.
What does the 101 Dalmations debaucle have to do with the Great Alliance or whatever Charles chooses to call his yearly meeting???
The 101 Dal Debaucle happened NOT because of the artists (except maybe the Supervising Director, who WALKED OUT), but because of a BAD script APPROVED by the execs, who OK'd it for production.
When the story problems eventually manifested themselves, all that time, money, and talent was wasted as the project was shelved. At least the artists' got a week's notice, which is better than at non-union studios.
In the end, the artists are either gonna have to do their own thing en masse, or stop whining when the execs do double-faces to save their own severance packages.
