I am merely trying to defend one person's artistic integrity. Lemme put it this way, if you had written a book, and it was going to be turned into a movie, wouldn't you want it to be as close to your original vision as possible? I know animation is a group effort but come on guys, at least respect the source material. or say...you were an animator and you'd pitched a idea for an animated film to a major studio. They say they like it and will make it under the condition you change everything that made the story good in the beginning. then how would you feel? JUST A CARTOON you say? Well i think that attitude is what's led to the decline of quality in animation...like direct to video...now even the jobs that are normally reserved for those working on these direct to video are disappearing to as they look for cheaper ways to produce "animation". Disgruntled? you bet i am, and NMEVER< EVER will i ever look at a project and say...it's just a cartoon.
