Normally I'm inclined to defend Pokemon from people who bitch and moan about it's success, but after learning the Pokemon "movie" made a staggering $10.1 million dollars on it's FIRST DAY ( and a weekday at that ) I must admit I'm somewhat glum. The Iron Giant only made $23 Million total I believe after 96 days of release. If I weren't a Pokemon fan myself I'd wring my hands and say " I don't understand what happened and why is this kiddie monster show making money?" But for the talented crew and director of iron Giant I feel quite a bit of sympathy for. By the way, has IG been released in other countries? If so, how is it performing?
