I think I'm one of those artists. I just find it hard to believe. We really DO need good managers, administrators, executives. We just don't have them now.

The worst thing about layoffs is that when the work comes back, you can't get the people back. People gotta work. They can't sit around and live off of our best wishes and the government's dole. And of course the last time this happened, where did they go for work? LA. They became "The Chicago Mob."

SO we end up training new people to be fed into the LA system the next time around.

Running a studio in Chicago is like Don Quixote fighting windmills - romantic, but not very practical.
