Brothers and Sisters -

I sent this email to James Bates, one of the authors of the June 24th article that was published in the Los Angeles Times whereby animation artists were blamed for the problems the executives create.

You can do the same. In fact, why don't you. It will only take a minute of your time. Be professional, courteous and to the point.

Mr. Bates -

You can tow the party line, or you can stand in the light of truth.

The animation industry needs your help. "The Iron Giant" is a
masterpiece that Warner Brothers has ignored. They created draconian
conditions for the production of the film. Director Brad Bird and his
crew have performed a filmmaking miracle. The executives at Warners have
done almost nothing to promote the film and are considering pulling it
from theatres.

Why don't you use your influence in the media to bring this to the
attention of the people of Los Angeles instead of wasting ink and paper
defending these quacks. Stand up for the great artistic tradition of
Hollywood and the brilliant animation community that lives and works
