Gads, Dave, I was afraid you'd catch this posting. Now I guess I'll have to explain.
Frank Clampett & Horace Jones were professional chimney-sweeps in our hometown in the Catskill Mountains. Every year, we'd have the Catskill Ladies' Auxiliary Art Festival. It became a tradition that the winner of the contest would have his/her work displayed from the roof of the tallest building in town, and these two chimney sweeps would be the guys who put it up on display.
So whenever you appreciated someone's artwork, it became traditional to say, "Your work is up there with Clampett & Jones."
I don't know who the hell YOU were thinking about, Dave.
