We all have very strong feelings about what's been going on in our industry. The purpose of this web site and the message board is to educate people and to offer an opportunity for individuals to contribute to a constructive dialogue that will hopefully facilitate a much needed change in how animation artists relate to each other and to our profession, not to personally attack anyone who has a dissenting opinion about the state of the business or the art form.
I and all the others who are involved in this would very much appreciate it if tempers were controlled and comments would remain professional and cordial. It's okay to be angry, but you don't have to personally attack someone, even if their comments seem absurd or misguided. The truth of your words will be enough to make a strong conterpoint.
One of the problems we've had among us is this unnecessary need to insult each other for saying something that the other party doesn't agree with. If we're going to rise to a greater level of control over our industry, we have to do a much better job at getting along with each other. It makes it that much more difficult to achieve our goals if we engage in petty insults and it demeans our great community and profession.
Thanks for you patience and for your cooperation.
