Here's some trivia for the animation history buffs among us. A favorite movie of mine while growing up and to this day is "The Vikings". Produced in 1958 it's remarkable for the authenticity by which aspects of the Norse culture are portrayed as well as the line up of stars that appear in the film. The opening is animated and narrated by the great Orson Welles. I discovered through the closing credits that the animation was produced by none other than the venerable UPA Studios. Here's a look at the opening animated sequence for The Vikings designed in the fashion of the Bayeux Tapestry. You can see UPA's closing credits for the movie at this link as well as The Vikings in its entirety.
