There's very few places remaining that are part of the history and legacy of Walt Disney. Yet one location in particular continues to endure, and that is his birthplace and childhood home in Chicago, Illinois. Both Walt and his brother Roy were born there and amazingly the house still exists.

There's a Kickstarter campaign in progress sponsored by the current owners of the property, Dina Brenadon and Brent Young. They're trying to raise the funds to restore the Disney family house back to its original state as it looked in 1901. The Walt Disney Birthpace Preservation Project is in full swing and looking for support.

Watch the video below and consider pledging towards this worthwhile campaign. It wraps up on January 6 2014. You would also be helping out by spreading the word through your own connections and networks, especially if you're involved with the Disney Company in some way. They should certainly be backing this project. Updates and additional video can be seen on the Forum topic.
