Take a look at this innovatve pioneering program developed by Chris O'Shea of Nexus Intertactive Arts in the UK. They've created a special interactive medium at the Royal London Hospital where children can immerse themselves in a fantasy environment. A storybook world whereby they can paint, play music, control the weather, and have fun with animated animal characters in the woods in real time. What a great way to make kids feel better.

Here's another crowdfunding campaign for an animated project that's gaining ground. Quentin Vien is currently directing a short film called "DeadMan's Reach". It's fully hand drawn and he's keeping a week by week blog of the film in progress. He's launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance the rest of the production. He's been working on it for the past 9 months. Here's the link to the campaign. As of this writing he's surpassed his goal of 7,000 pds UK so we'll be seeing the project funded. And there's still 27 days to contribute to stretch goals! We'll be following Quentin's progress in the campaign at the Forum topic. Check out the video for a look at what's happening...

Another good example of how animation can be used to educate and motivate. This video deals with the brutal conflict that's been going on in Mexico concerning the drug cartels, the root causes of the situation and how it's impacting the lives of millions of people. It was produced by visual.ly.
