Written by Charles

I discovered an animation group I wasn't aware of until now, thanks to the TraditionalAnimation blog. There's a studio in Provo, Utah in the USA by the name of Golden Street Animation. It looks to be closely associated with the animation community in the Philippines. The creative force behind it is Scott T. Petersen, an animator with many years of experience working in traditional, hand drawn animation. Scott is marketing educational DVDs for emerging as well as professional animators. The DVDs focus on developing basic skills essential to the art of animation. One of the promotional videos associated with Golden Street showcases just how good this studio is, and is featured below.

This topic is developing further in the Education section of the AN Forums with more videos related to the studio and its program. In the meantime, have a look at Scott Petersen's AnimationExcellence blog for more information about the DVDs and Golden Street.

One of the standout students I had at The Animation Academy in Burbank over the years was Kris Anka. He stared with me when he was just a kid. Not more than 11 or 12 years old. As he progressed, it became more and more evident just how good he was going to be. By the time he finished high school, he won the very first Warner Bros / Hanna Barbera Scholarship in 2007 which sent him to Cal Arts.

This is we like it pfizer cialis uk his latest and perhaps his last student film at Cal Arts. It's called 'Epilogue'. Kris is an artist to watch as he will no doubt be a leading talent in animation. He is already. I'll be featuring more film from Kris at this Forum topic.
