RIP Ernest Borgnine - 'Miracle Mouse' last project
Written by Charles
Monday, 09 July 2012 08:59

The great American Actor Ernest Borgnine has passed away at the age of 95. The news was brought to us by ANer Tom Hignite whose "Miracle Mouse" animated project "Cranky's Miracle" looks to be the last work that Ernest Borgnine was engaged in voicing the character of Cranky Crane for the film. The character is next to his picture in the above graphic.

I met with Tom Hignite in Burbank only a few weeks ago. I recall how excited he was at working with Mr. Borgnine and the stories he recounted of his professionalism and his great attitude and demeanor. The video footage that Tom has taken of Ernest Borgnine during the recent voice recording sessions for Miracle Mouse may very well be the last video shot of the man in an acting situation.

Miracle Mouse and Ernest Borgnine are forever intertwined from here to eternity. If you're familiar with Ernest's work, you'll get the play on words.

Rest In Peace Ernest Borgnine and thank you for your many memorable performances!

'California Kidds' - Amazon Studios pitch
Written by Charles
Sunday, 08 July 2012 21:40

Amazon recently challenged the concept of the traditional pitch by launching their own production studio. Amazon Studios have since been soliciting pitches from anyone with a strong, original idea.

Answering the creative call is Chance Raspberry and Corey Mitchel who've come up with "California Kidds", an idea for an animated series through Amazon's new content venue.

Their new series concept can be seen here at their Pitch Video. You can also connect with their Pilot Script and Mini-Bible for the series. Amazon Studios makes generous development offers for greenlit projects. And it's also generous of  Chance and Corey to publicly share their material. Rooting for the series to go!

Clicking on this link above will take you to their official Amazon Studios project page where you can watch and download the California Kidds pitch in its entirety! Recent stats ranked "CALIFORNIA KIDDS" at #18 out of 490+ projects. The AN Community can take it even higher. I hope you'll check it out and give it a good rating and positive comments!.
