Disney's 'Big Hero 6' - November 7 2014

A teaser trailer for Disney's upcoming "Big Hero 6" animated feature film is out. General release is scheduled for November 7 in the US. Links to the movie can be found on Facebook and Twitter  with the official website here. Follow ups on the AN Forum topic.

As good as this movie looks judging from the video trailer, the thing that comes to mind for me is how not that long ago in the history of things Disney was about the only studio in town that could produce animated content at the highest level. Now there's lots of studios that can create comperable animation and it's not just in the Burbank / Hollywood / LA area. It's a worldwide phenomenon.

Check out the video and see what we can expect from the talented artists at Disney...

This summer in August will mark the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I. The bloodiest conflict the world had ever seen. It wasn't just Europeans who were fighting. There were a million troops from India involved and neary 75,000 of them died. In this music video the memory of the Indian fighters is honored by Wasaru, a highly talented artist based in France who directed and animated the film. The song is entitled Sufferation by Brain Damage in an association with Vibronics.

'Internet Citizens: Defend Net Neutrality'
Written by Charles

This is one of those videos where info about the production is not clear but whose content is very important to watch none the less. Net Neutrality has come under attack yet again recently as the Federal Communications Commission in the US has voted to allow mega corporations to restructure the Internet in our country. The vote was 3-2 in favor of a new aspect to the Internet that would allow huge corporations to take control and open the door to eventually phasing out the Web as we know it.

It boggles the mind that 3 unelected government officials have the power to change the Internet over the objections of the vast majority of people and businesses in America. Alas, that seems to be par for the course as more and more of the public is waking up to the extent of the corruption that exists in our country and all over the world when it comes to government and the mega corporations that have bought them out.

This video utilizes simple animation to explain just how this new Internet would work and why it is potentially so bad for us. It's an effective way of making a point. Much better than any article I've read so far about this topic. You can follow the discussion about defending Net Neutrality at this link where where the sponsor of the video is hosting a forum. Take a look at what's being planned and what we can expect should this legislation pass...
