In the countryside and jungles of Colombia an onging conflict is forcing people to find refuge in the cities. With no place to go and no prospects for employment many resort to performing under stoplights. This is what "Semaforo" (Stoplight) is about. Animated frame by frame in Photoshop by Simon Wilches-Catsro at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. The music is composed by Anna Drubich.

This is perhaps the most significant post I've ever entered on AnimationNation concerning the animation process itself. What you are about to witness is nothing less than astounding, miraculous, and any other adjective you can conjure to describe the phenomenon.
Entitled "A Boy and His Atom: The World's Smallest Movie" IBM has created animation through the manipulation of atomic particles! Magnified at 100,000,000 times you can see actual atoms comprising the images of this video! Thanks to long time ANer Greg Boone for the lead on the story.
