Don't you just love it when an animated property circumvents the gatekeepers in traditional entertainment media and finds huge success through crowdfunding? Yet again that is indeed the case today as a project entitled "Bee and PuppyCat" wrapped up their Kickstarter campaign just a few hours ago and I'm sure are celebrating the great results.

They exceeded their $600,000 goal with a final tally of $872,133 raised through 18,209 backers!

Bee and PuppyCat is the brainchild of Natasha Allegri. You can see her creative works here. It's been featured on Cartoon Hangover and on http://eatingdisorderrecovery.com/buying-cialis-without-a-prescription Kickstarter through Frederator.

The huge success of the lowest price levitra Bee and PuppyCat campaign means that nine episodes in the series will be produced.

Take a look at the promotional video below. I particularly appreciate what Frederator founder Fred Seibert has to say about how the Internet and crowdfunding is helping projects move directly towards their audience outflanking the obstacles of broadcast TV. Then watch an episode of the cartoon for an idea as to what we can expect to see now that Bee and PuppyCat has been greenlit by the fans...

The KLIK! Animation Festival in Amsterdam is under way starting today and running through November 17 2013. If you're in the area and are up for having a good time in a fun city it's not too late to head on over and be a part of all the exciting things that are happening.

One of the highlights of the festival is the participation of industry veteran Paul Rudish. He'll be a keynote speaker on Friday evening November 15 among other appearances he'll be making. Paul is best known for his reworking of order propica Mickey Mouse in the recent shorts produced by Disney. He's the Executive Producer of the series. It's especially gratifying for me to see Paul in the spotlight since I knew him as a youngster in Kansas City. His father was my supervisor when I worked as a staff artist at Halmark Cards. Here's video of Paul drawing Mickey.  Have a good time at KLIK!
