Demo reel

Hi everyone!

I have decided to make a demo reel that will be completed on August 8th. So I'm going to post some of my animations that I will include in this thread, if you could, please leave some feedback/comments/critique so I can make the reel sparkle!

That's good! Give the video more time to run the cycle.

@Charles OK! Next time I make I walk, I'll let it run longer.

Ball Bounces....

Let your cycled animation run for a few seconds. You're not giving it enough time. Get it to around 10 to 15 seconds.

These are all very good exercises for getting your basics down. Some of what you're doing with the bouncing ball may be overworked such as the squash and stretch, such as the stretch while it's falling to the ground. Overall you're doing a good job.

It looks like you're animating straight from Preston Blair's book. Why not animate your character Iron Duck? Apply the Blair principles to your character and let's see what happens.

UPDATE: I'm still working on my demo reel. Here's a storyboard type thing of an animation I might put in:

Its called a "Thoughtful Animation" because someone suggested that I add a character animation where the character thinks, not just acts.

@Charles Making an IronDuck walk would be so cool but I'm still not comfortable drawing IronDuck to look the same in each frame. I need to keep drawing him to get out of my comfort zone and I'm working on that.

Good head turn. Frolic is reading okay but could be more frolicy. Keep practicing and experimenting and you'll get it.
