'Villains: Vlad the Impaler' part 1

Postby Charles » Mon Mar 26, 2012 3:41 pm

KarmaloopTV is the online video channel of Karmaloop, an expanding media outlet that specializes in creating top-notch video content catering to Verge Culture -- a growing demographic of young people who are heavily involved in music, fashion, sports, and the arts.

They hired William Cleveland to create some original animation for them, and here's what he has happening.

It's from a series entitled 'Villians: Vlad the Impaler pt. 1' in which the history of the 15th century warlord who was the inspiration for the character of Dracula is explored in a gorily offbeat way. Remember, it's only a cartoon.

I'd like to mention also that Villains and the Vlad the Impaler production is a partnered effort. Kylar Loya is the Senior Animator who hired William Cleveland has joint credit in the film. He co-produced it, did a great chunk of the animation and all the sound work. I'm told that this project wouldn't have been possible without him.

Here's his website is http://www.kylarloya.com.

Here's where you can find the work of William Cleveland: http://vimeo.com/williamcleveland
