Animated Love

Postby Charles » Thu Jan 12, 2012 11:08 am

I featured a nice animated short today that involved a love story...

... when I realized that Valentines Day is only a month away.

So in that time, why not build up a series of love based animated films to enjoy.

How about starting with a traditionally animated student film from Cal Arts recently produced in 2010 by Hyunjoo Song entitled 'Red' based upon Little Red Riding Hood. Never know where you can find true love and romance, even in the middle of a dangerous forest...

A true story. It's been on YouTube for a few years, I remember seeing it before, but one never tires of something this sincere.

Something I discovered on YouTube today. It's not animated, but the graphics and the sentiment qualify for inclusion.

I remember seeing this on PBS back in the earlier days of CG animation where it was transitioning into more organic forms. Maybe the early 1990s. It's still very beautiful...

This is what it's all about. Love each other while you have each other.
