hey everyone it's palmtree I got a new drawing to post up I didn't color it in but this an example of one of the charactors I have the question about in the general disscussion area any suggestions would be good I know it's not the greatist but it's all I can come up with right now

Take a look at the drawing below. It's from a demonstration I did in class a few years ago. I used a method of drawing called "construction" by which I develop the anatomy of the character. Click on the image for a better view.

By building the anatomy of your subject first, then going on to add the design elements, you'll get a solid and much more convincing result from your character design work.

This is a fundamental. The approach I used here and what I'm describing is fundamental to the process of drawing.

Try establishing the anatomy of your characters as shape first. Then go on to add hair, clothing, so on.
