CTN eXpo 2011

CTNX 2011 starts today.

I'll be heading over there soon and get an early look at what's happening.

Looking forward to seeing friends, making new acquaintances and having a good time in general.

The expo had a huge line that snaked from the entrance, along the side of the building, into a parking area and then doubled up on itself.

This was an hour before it opened.

Extremely well attended for the first day early on. Compared to last year, way more people. Last year you could walk around as there was open space at the beginning. Not this year, it was packed right from the start.

This is the line for the CTN eXpo at around 11:15 am, about 45 minutes before it opened. It was far longer than this by the time the event got under way, winding back towards the entrance at the building on the right. Click on the photo for a better view.

As fate would have it, while I was standing in line, I noticed off to the side someone whom I recognized. He just arrived and was on his way to the ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening this year's CTNX.

This is a shot of the expo itself just after it opened. If was packed right from the start. This early in the event, it was one of the few places where there was space on the floor.

The official report is that a good time was had by all.
