Set in Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, “Brave” features Merida, an aspiring archer and impetuous daughter of royalty. Merida makes a reckless choice that unleashes unintended peril and forces her to spring into action to set things right.

I dont know if I'm allowed to post here or not seeing that no one else has.
I just want to say this movie looks marvelous and has so much potential for being one of the rare serious Disney/Pixar films and less silly. I'm not saying humor is necessarily a bad thing since Pixar can do such a great job of it, but if it is something like Wall-E then this will be a epic film and my gut feeling says it may because its by the same makers of Wall-E and Up (even though Up got kinda overboard silly by the end....just me though)
Moreover, the story and settings of this movie can add to the serious affect, thus possibly making this one of Pixars best films if they play it safe and, like I said, make it more of a darker film than comedic. I've been waiting for something like this for a while, and I hope it turns out great!
Looks really excellent. I'm glad that Pixar is still stretching into new directions. I've loved everything from them except Cars. It's the one franchise of theirs that I just think must be based on money more than desire to tell that story.
Anyway, Brave looks like a return to form and I love it!
The first Cars movie was excellent in my opinion, and since I'm a car guy myself its just all the more reason to like the movie. Cars 2 kinda got boring for me in the middle.
If you're looking to be among the very first to see Brave, head to Edinburgh as that's where the movie will premiere.

Pixar’s Brave to Premiere at Edinburgh

The Disney-Pixar animated Scottish adventure Brave is set to bring this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival to a close, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie, featuring a voice cast that reads like a who’s who of Scottish stars including Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd and Craig Ferguson, has been selected as closing night film for the festival.
The movie’s pick was announced by Scottish first minister Alex Salmond and EIFF artistic director Chris Fujiwara at a tourism conference in Scotland. The festival runs June 20 through July 1, 2012.
Salmond, the leader of the Scottish Parliament, said he was delighted to announce that “Hollywood will roll into town during the Edinburgh International Film Festival when we host the European premiere of Brave.”
For his part Fujiwara, making his debut as artistic director with the festival this year, said: “We're delighted to host the premiere of Brave and continue the Festival’s long relationship with Disney.”
He said that though the festival is international, organizers are “mindful that we have a special responsibility to Scotland's cinematic image. It makes perfect sense that this film, which is so strongly tied to the cultural mythology of Scotland and the beauty of the Scottish landscape, and in which Scottish talent has such a significant involvement, should be part of our festival.”
Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman (The Lion King and Prince of Egypt), Brave is produced by Katherine Sarafian and scored by Scottish composer Patrick Doyle.
The film is readying itself for a U.K. rollout in August 2012 and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D in select cinemas.
