The Student Professional Development Conference is set to occur on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 from 10-1p.m.

Sponsored by The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, an organization primarily engaged in advancing standards for image-related technologies.

The Hollywood section of SMPTE will sponsor the event in the Malburg Atrium at Woodbury University in Burbank and is happening in tandem with The Business of Entertainment.

The combined events will be a template that SMPTE can use to go forward.
