AniMazSpotlight volunteers wanted - Burbank - Sept 15-20 '11AniMazSpotlight 2011 is a six day event this year, and the festival team is looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways, to help greet party goers at the Thurs, Sept. 15, 2011 Duke’s Malibu event, as drivers and helpers for the animation studio and school tours on the following Friday, and on Monday and Tuesday the 19th and 20th, but most of the help will be needed at the weekend festival itself, with tasks such as helping at the ticket desk, getting, books and posters signed, taking stills or videos, guiding the guests to the auditorium and helping with the interviews, and drivers to pick up festival goers arriving from out of town.
The festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 17th and 18th, at Woodbury University in Burbank, from 9 am to 9 pm each day, and we will need about 3 to 4 volunteers each day. Volunteers will receive free passes to the festival and in some cases the Duke’s event and studio tours, and they will be able to meet the industry people during the breaks between festival programs. For more details visit their website at www.animazspot.com, click the Mr. Magoo image on the home page, which will take you to a page that contains all you probably need to know. Scroll down through the festival schedule, panels on each program, and further down is a panel on the Duke’s event and the tours, which now include Disney, the Simpsons, the UCLA Animation collection, a once in a lifetime tour of Pantomime Picture, given by legendary animator, Fred Crippen, and a special tour of Nickelodeon given by a recent graduate of Woodbury, and that’s just a few of the highlights. Please contact Tina Fallah at tina.fallah10@gmail.com if you have any questions regarding the volunteering or want to sign up for it.
