Just got done watching a biography of legendary Hollywood mogul Lou Wasserman.

You can't make the stuff up that that man who passed back in 2002 went through. You get to see the foundations of entertainment especially the scummy side that permeates the industry since day one.

It looks like a combination of posts seen here on AN complaining about how the entertainment industry is.

Wasserman brought monster entertainment that we all love and adore and played with characters in real life so insidiously evil and greedy they would make Boris Badenov look like Spanky from the Little Rascals.

All our favorite animation mogul characters are there except Walt Disney but once you watch this documentary you'll realize once and for all what you've all been up against. A very realistic look at life and business from the bankers to the mobsters to the politicians.

To add to it I watched the biography of Louis B. Mayer. His rise to power and downfall is also typical of the Hollywood/corporate/gossip mindset.

These men's lives and careers defined Hollywood and anyone in any area of this business should be well versed in their achievements, tactics, battles and so on.

You want to complain about how the animation business is run? Just look at the execs who studied under these guys. Why is there a lack of respect for the old timers who cut the path? See what happened to these guys when they got older.

These documentaries make the Shakespearean plays look like dinner theater regarding the passion, betrayals, battles, politics, gangsters.

Hollywood and the motion picture industry's foundations are entwined with organized crime and the government turned a blind eye too many times. That's why I've said time and time again you need to study business if you're going to be in this business. History, law too. You can't leave your destiny up to others to control.
