Something that will give us all a good idea of how severe the Great Recession is and how it's affecting the US economy through a county by county view of the unemployment rate over time.

Starting in January 2007 and spreading through August 2010, less than 4 months ago.

The darker areas represent higher unemployment, with the darkest showing areas in excess of 10% of the workforce population without a job.

Based upon this data, it's shocking to see how widespread and chronic it is.

The 650-ish comments on YouTube for it must be pretty interesting as well.

I hope that things look up for those suffering, and am thankful for the indie work I'm doing to stay afloat.
