Max The Mutt Animation School is a Canadian private college that is located in Toronto, Ontario. It was founded in 1997 by Maxine Schacker and Tina Seemann.

Graduates receive a 3-year diploma in "Classical and Computer Animation Basics", and have an option to complete a fourth year, to receive an additional diploma in "3-D Character Animation".

Areas of study include diplomas in Classical and Computer Animation, Computer Animation & Production (4 years), Illustration for Sequential Arts: Comic Books and Graphic Novels (3 years), and Concept Art for Animation & Video Games (4 years).

Their courses are in depth and designed and taught by working professionals. As a career college, emphasis is placed on professionalism as well as course content.

The school's website ( ) has extensive galleries of student work.

In addition to instruction in classical animation the three year Classical & Computer Animation Diploma Program includes a variety of computer programs, including Toon Boom. The Advanced Diploma in 3D Computer Animation & Production focuses on using MAYA to train 3D character animators.

As a private career college, their classes are smaller and more intimate, which provides students more attention and assistance from the instructors.

Max the Mutt has expanded to include in depth diploma programs in Illustration for Sequential Arts: Comic Books & Graphic Novels, and Concept Art for Animation & Video Games.

I've also checked out their tuition and its reasonable compared to many other schools offering similar degree oriented programs.

They have an excellent track record with the industry, a very high employment rate for graduates, known industry professionals instructing, and an artist/animator driven community.
