DreamWorks at night...

Postby Charles » Thu Dec 02, 2010 9:12 pm

... and at the Holiday Season for 2010.

Folks, if you've ever had the opportunity to step foot on the DreamWorks lot in Glendale, California, just outside of the Burbank city limits, you'll discover a beautiful place.

I was there this evening as I sometimes am, and was given permission to take a few snapshots of the grounds of this marvelous animation studio.

Let's start with the studio lobby. This is part of the reception area of DreamWorks, all decked out for Christmas time.

The DreamWorks campus has lots of intriguing paths and byways.

Throughout the lot there's dramatic views.

The campus is tiered and has a feeling of height and depth.

The studio has areas of the campus that are set up as something of a nature preserve.

In an environment as pleasant as this, it's no wonder DreamWorks employees make great movies.

This is a panoramic shot of DreamWorks, taken from the roof of the parking complex looking south with the lights of Glendale in the distance. The main entrance to the studio is at left. As with the previous images, clicking on the picture will give you an enhanced view.

Sure did, Charles.

I was never able to see this much of the DreamWorks campus. I was there once late last year, but my schedule kept me from returning.

Thought I saw Skynet in one of these pictures, but guess I was wrong!

I was on the DreamWorks campus last night and got a chance to take a few more pictures.

Here's a shot of the fountain at night.

Another view of the DreamWorks fountain at night.

This shot is of the dining area looking towards the commissary. DreamWorks provides their employees breakfast and lunch for free, and from my experience eating there, the food is very fine.

Shoot, their food had better be "very fine", as much as their skilled employees contribute to their success!

This is the area overlooking the big pond. It's fed by streams of water, some of which you can make out at the lower right corner of the picture.

Clicking on it will give you a better view.
