Aniboom

Postby Charles » Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:49 pm

It's high time we brought Aniboom to the forums as a topic of significance to the community.

According to Wikipedia...

.............

Aniboom is a limited liability company (LLC) founded in January 2006. It's headquartered in Tel Aviv and San Francisco. The founder & CEO is Uri Shinar and the slogabn of the company is "Get Animation Made. Faster. Cheaper. Better."

Their website can be found at http://Aniboom.com

Aniboom is an online production studio that makes animation by reaching out to its database of over 9,500 creators who are located around the globe. As Aniboom is a web-based, rather than brick and mortar, studio, it finds and recruits talent by offering opportunities, work and an animation community where animators can promote themselves.

Aniboom offers production work, syndication and/or production deals, either on TV or the web, for popular submissions. Animators are encouraged to submit their work and be featured on the Aniboom YouTube Channel which has a high ranking. Aniboom helps animators build their name and reputation in the industry, as it puts the artists name in the title, tags and text. While most of content submitted to Aniboom is original, some of the content can be found on other video sharing sites.

................

There's a huge amount of animated content that can be found through Aniboom, and as such, I'd like to feature some of that vast content here on the forums.

Here's an example of what I'm referring to. Check our "Spaced Out", a nice little film about a hungry alien looking for a meal.

Here's another animated short featured through Aniboom.

It was produced at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Ringling is among the best animation schools in the US and perhaps may be the best. In this film, a dinosaur tries to put on a pair of socks in anticipation of an ice age on the way, but his small arms hinder his efforts.

This film looks to originate from the Bezalel Academy of Art and design in Jerusalem and is featured through Aniboom.

It's called "Kill the Armadill" and is innovative in its approach to the narrative. It starts out as an old school video game and then makes the transition to a real world setting.

In addition to some impressive CGI animation, Aniboom also showcases unusual 2D animation. Here's something that warrants a view. It's called "Angst" and comes from the creative efforts of Emil Penders of the Netherlands.

Here's a really beautiful animated short film featured through Aniboom. It's a music video called "Evergreen" produced by Yoann Lemoine. It was first uploaded to YouTube in July 2007 and since then it's had 1,663,891 views. That averages out to just under 500,000 views a year. Aniboom is obviously a popular venue for enjoying animated films.

"Emily" by Kim Leow is another one of the many animated shorts available for viewing on Aniboom. This is a macabre yet particularly entertaining film.

Giving this a bump.

Aniboom is a contemporary model for animation production. It's location independent, the first virtual animation studio in the world, bridging the gap between the global community of independent animators and the professional animation industry in all its forms: cinema, television, web, mobile, music videos, digital gaming, and advertising.

Aniboom brings together thousands of highly skilled animation artists from dozens of countries around the world.

They're a 21st century studio that can produce high quality animation regardless of location.
