Comics girls going for Kickstarter gold

The Cosplay industry has grown large. I remember when it was practically unknown in the U.S. and a pal of mine in Japan used to run conventions there. He's so huge now he can't talk to us mortals anymore.

Anyhow, as Cosplay grew here more women got involved. So here you have this comics kickstarter campaign where these people did everything themselves. Whether they hit their goal or not, they're almost halfway there, it's a bold move. They had to make up their own characters, costumes, make up, script, and more to shoot their own webseries. Comics and animation people can team up with others to get projects going. Having an animator or comics artist on your team can really boost your crowdfunding power especially if you have a 'name' talent but that doesn't mean you won't be successful on your own.

There's lots of examples of how you don't need much talent or even content to get funding on Kickstarter....just do it!
