This emphatically underscores the dramatic changes that are taking place in the way business is done thanks to crowdfunding and also clearly shows the potential for what can be achieved from here on out as to how things will be done.

A group from Canada called Protest The Hero recently fulfilled their contracts with record labels and have turned to their fans to fund their fourth full-length album.

Within hours of launching, the band smashed through it’s $125,000 goal and is on its way to doubling that total! Currently they're at $228,315 and there's still 24 days left to the campaign!

Is this the future of business for musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, the tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor?

You got that right! It's a new day and a new way! 8-)

this is awesome! I've been spreading the crowd funding concept to my room mates who are in bands.they are all amazing. good stuff, C! thanks for posting!

The crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for Protest the Hero has wrapped up. Final tally is...

$341,211 raised for a $125,000 goal.
