Creator takes Disney short down under and secures funding for somewhat controversial series. Anyone know how to tap into those Aussie dollars? http://tinyurl.com/albhbtg

That's cool. Can we get more info? Was this initially pitched to Disney? Did they pass on it in the US? Did they have a hand in its production?

SheZow was originally pitched to Disney. They made a 5-minute short for their Shorty Mc Short Shorts block of shorts. The animation company of hire was Mercury Film Works. Once the short aired, Disney got letters complaining of the cross-dressing aspect and the idea of a series was abandoned. The creator then took the short and a bible for the innovative series to Australia via Brenda Wooding and there Moody Street Kids (MSK) bought it. MSK has an output deal with Channel 10 and the series received funding from government entity, Film Victoria.

That's very interesting. Would it be possible to upload a video on YouTube?
