A Thinking Ape is looking for a highly creative 2D Flash Animator. This is a short term contract opportunity. Your work will be a key, unifying factor in products that millions of people love and use everyday.

Responsibilities:
• Creating game ready flash assets and animation for social mobile apps
• Thinking analytically about story telling or presenting pictures
• Creating motion graphics and graphic designs, seeing projects through from storyboard to completion
• Brainstorm with art team

Requirements:
• A strong reel showcasing your previous work
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent understanding of character volume and movement in space
• Attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash
• Knowledge other 2D or 3D animation software a plus
• A passion for gaming

Assets:
• Education -- Degree or Diploma in Animation, Game Design, or other relevant topic
• Some prior experience working in gaming, particularly casual or social mobile games
• Character design skills, coloring ability, environment design, and illustration
