Robot Dragonfly on indiegogo

In addition to Kickstarter there are many other sites that specialize in crowdfunding campaigns. One of the more popular ones is indiegogo.

Here's an indiegogo campaign for a fun product. It's called the Robot Dragonfly. Its goal was $110,000 and so far they've come up with $352,688 with 14 days left in the campaign.

Everywhere you turn you're seeing successful crowdfunding campaigns. This project could have been taken in a traditional direction for financing. By crowdfunding they can continue to develop their product while staying independent and building equity in the endeavor.

Here's a follow up on the Robot Dragonfly campaign on indiegogo. It was funded on December 31 2012.

Results...

Funded at $1,141,324 through 3204 backers!

That'll make any dragon fly! ;)
