Then again, some question how the statistics are measured.

Are the calculations flawed?

Well, when you send millions of quality jobs overseas, prop up banks and financial institutions with taxpayer dollars, assault the middle class for decades on end, it's no surprise that the number of poor people in the US continues to rise.
