GREAT Kickstarter campaign! Something I can get behind.Takes a real artist like Brom to do a solid kickstarter campaign...goal, 12k...so far 170 k with two weeks to go in a four week campaign...no gimmicks, didn't need 100-150 people giving you free work, no stress...just content and the person responsible..amazing. OH and 30 years experience. lol..that helps. The man is a class act. Always has been. Respect. I'm taking note. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/596 ... rt-of-brom
I've been exposed to kickstarter campaigns in the last year. Really covers the gamut on how this is done. So many style asking for direct funds from your market. TO me, I get turned off to gimmicks and show boating. you can still entertain without the bullsht. ya know? With Brom, he trims the fat. Here I am, this is what I do, shared his family and his personality without being too much. I believe him and I want to support. ya know? Well, helps I've been a fan for years too. But planning on doing a kickstarter for my projects I'm still struggling with how to go about it...after all my super powers only work for other people. But Brom gives me some insight. It don't take much but it takes everything...and everything is you and what you do. Believe
Re: GREAT Kickstarter campaign! Something I can get behind.Incredible artist! Man what a talent!
With 14 days to go he's at $171,218 pledged of a $12,000 goal. Crowdfunding is mui bueno, si?
Re: GREAT Kickstarter campaign! Something I can get behind. With 9 days to go...
Brom has $180,924 pledged of a $12,000 goal. Amazing success! Crowdfunding is changing the entire dynamic and paradigm of what it means to be independent.
Re: GREAT Kickstarter campaign! Something I can get behind.I love it!
Even though Brom has a 30 year career and a big following and books of his works already out he took the safe route. asked for a modest amount and with a strong campaign, which was simple and sweet, was able to raise so much more. Without hundreds of people donating their time or given empty promises to get them to do free work like the standard hollywood already established model..but letting the work speak for itself... awesome!
Re: GREAT Kickstarter campaign! Something I can get behind.I hear ya. He set a modest goal and wound up far exceeding it. He's at $182,435 through 1,657 backers with 8 days to go.
