I think I posted this before, but this is his most interesting album.

Inventions and Dimensions - Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio, New Jersey on August 30, 1963. Herbie Hancock (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), Willie Bobo (drums, timbales), Osvaldo Martinez (congas, bongos, finger cymbals, guiro).
