In the classic "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" from the early 1930s, there's a scene where Dr. Jeckyll (Frederick March) helps a woman in distress (Miriam Hopkins). She immediately becomes enamored and tries to seduce him. The scene is very effective and holds up well over the years for its sexiness, imagine how provocative it must have been in its day. This film won 4 Oscars in 1932.
