Oldest human remains discovered

Dating back to approximately 400,000 years ago, twice as old as what scientists thought was the emergence of Homo Sapiens.

From a cave in Israel, if the evidence holds up, it will throw a wrench into existing theories of modern human evolution and current thinking of the out-of-Africa scenario.

Pretty interesting but then I always ask questions like, what's the difference between finding remains that are 400,000 years old or 1,500,000 years old? It is most likely impossible for us to know the facts, unless something or someone who was there and that knows, hands us the answers.

Of course it is always interesting to see what's been found, but at the same time we have to realize that we still don't know that much about the past.

Agreed. Much of what has been sold as science in anthropology have huge holes..I mean, if this is twice as old?? thats pretty significant. Who's to say, like Skynet pointed out, human life is even older..the way the earth folds in on itself its quite possible we will never know..and the only reason why we forgot is we destroy the history as we war with each other...THis is a great story, though. it sparks the imagination.
