That's a growth rate of 9.7 percent over the poast decade, which is slower than the 13.2 percent increase from 1990 to 2000.

California is the most populace state with 37,253,956 people and the least populous is Wyoming with 563,626.

The 2010 Census will see changes in the distribution of seats to the states in the House of Representatives.
