Bitfilm Festival Starts Online Vote Today until Oct 4 '10Bitfilm Festival Hamburg: Voting on the Internet, Award Ceremony and Workshops in a Mirror Hall
Today is the first day of the Bitfilm Online Vote. 17 Films compete until October 4, 2010 for the Bitfilm Awards at http://www.bitfilm.com/festival. The audience decides via an online vote about the winners. All films are about Money. The most popular ones will form a feature film called Money & Me. The public award show will take place at the Mirror Hall of the Museums for Kunst und Gewerbe (Museum of the Applied Arts) in Hamburg on Thursday, October 7 a t 7 PM. Bitfilm will organise two workshops for media pros and media students: Workshop Film production in Stereo 3D: Wednesday, October 6, 2 - 6 PM Stereo 3D is back! The big box office success of James Camerons 'Avatar' has inspired studios and independent film makers to ride the stereo 3D wave again. In this workshop, producers present their current projects and show their tricks to create the best three-dimensional illusion. Stereo 3D film makers may pitch their own projects to the experts to get a professional feedback. Please send your concepts with the subject line 'Bitfilm Stereo 3D Workshop' until October 1 to festival@bitfilm.com. Workshop Internet TV: Thursday, October 7, 2 - 6 PM For some years, media evangelists have prophesied the convergence of the Internet and television. Now the technology seems to catch up, so that the results convince normal consumers as well. Internet TV experts provide a market overview and present exciting projects. IP TV creators may pitch their own projects to the experts to get a professional feedback. Please send your concepts with the subject line 'Bitfilm IP TV Workshop' until October 1 to festival@bitfilm.com. The entrance fee for each workshop is 12 Euros (8 Euros concessions). Best of Digital Animation: Wednesday, 6. Oktober 19 Uhr At night, the Mirror Hall will turn into a cinema, showing the best digital animations of the year, with guest programmes by Stash New York, onedotzero London and Pictoplasma Berlin. The entrance fee is 7 Euros (5 Euros concessions). The 2-day-festival pass which includes all workshops and screenings cost 30 Euros (25 Euros concessions).
